Frequently Asked
Questions
How do I make
reservation requests for my certificates?
Probably the easiest process of all..... Just
follow the instructions included in your travel package regarding the
particular certificate you are interested in using. The sales office
does not handle reservations or processing of the certificates, so
please refer to them individually for the particulars.. For more
information on booking your dates, call the Customer Service
Representative with Travel 1 at 1-866-714-8890 or email customerservice@travel1vacation.com
Reservations can be faxed in
to the number on the back of your form they can also be scanned and emailed to customerservice@travel1vacation.com
We do not take reservations
over the phone all reservations must be submitted in writing. If you need help
with your dates submit an email and make sure you tell us the start date and
month and locations you wish and we will email the dates to put on your
forms.
Can
I get extra nights in my package when we are ready to travel?
YES! We can customize your package to
fit your individual needs. Most of the resorts and hotels we work with
allow extended stays. Additional nights are subject to availability and
prevailing rates. If you wish to add extra nights, simply contact
someone in our reservations department and inquire about availability.
We will always do our best to accommodate you.(IF you desire extra nights attach a note with your faxed reservations or check the box on the reservation form)
Are
there any additional charges?
The price paid in your package covers everything
included in the package. The only additional charges to the package are
state and/or local taxes. Consult your certificates
for those charges. Taxes normally depend on time and location of travel
and are paid when traveling or upon check-out of the resorts and
hotels. Normally resort taxes run between $7-$20 per ROOM per NIGHT, NOT
PER PERSON!
If you are
planning on Traveling on or around a Major Holiday such as Christmas or
New Years, we do recommend at least a 90 days advanced notice due to the
high volume of travel. Port & service fees on the cruise are $195pp.
Can
I bring a pet?
Sorry,
none of the resorts or hotels and cruise ships we use allow pets in the
rooms or cabins.
Why do I need to book 30 days in advance?
Although
our packages normally do not have any blackout dates, all requests are
subject to availability. Meaning, the earlier you request your dates the
better chance you have to ensure your first choice. Remember that
we require a 30 day minimum advance notice prior to booking travel
dates, and we suggest 90 days if you are coming during a major holiday. Reservation request are processed in the order they are received and by the order persons are traveling.
Can
I request a particular type of room?
Room location and type are located are at the
discretion of the resort or hotel. We can request certain room sizes or
types, but we can not guarantee the accommodations. Remember again, the
earlier you request your travel dates, the better chance we have to
accommodate your requests.
Can I make this vacation a group vacation or
family reunion?
These packages are designed for individual
families and some resorts restrict group travel. Because these packages
are designed for introducing families to vacation ownership, we ask that
individual families travel separately. However, you can refer a friend
and we can book them into a separate package. Once your book with our
company, we do include each package into the "Friends and Family"
referral program. What that means is that with your booking contract
number, up to 3 individuals may call within 3 business days of
purchasing your package and receive the same package as yours including
any discounts or bonuses!
What happens if I can not use my package
within the allocated time frame?
Please refer to the full terms and conditions
included in the paperwork of your package for complete details, but if
you need to, package expiration's can be extended for a small fee and are
fully transferable.

resort tour in Orlando?
Yes Its a simple 90-120 minute

for good word of mouth advertising and there is no obligations to purchase
anything just have a good time. Activities are available for the children so
think of it as free babysitting! Ft Lauderdale is
an optional tour but a free condo upgrade may be available.

The demographics are just
survey questions our resort developers use. The information provided is to
determine the kinds of families that are previewing the developments.
What if I don't want to take the cruise?
That's fine we can substitute 2 nights in Daytona Beach Fl for those that decide not to take the cruise. **(Only for those that do not all ready have Daytona in their package) a 90 minute tour in Daytona is required.
Can I trade nights from one location to another?
Nights cannot be traded between locations.

but if you need to, packages can be extended for a small fee of $75.00USD
for an additional 6 months and are fully 100% transferable.
How
do I know that I am getting everything as told and promised?
When you purchase a package from our company, we
must first do a recorded verification before we process any transaction.
In the recorded verification, our office will go over all that is
promised to you and that you have been told to make sure that you are
getting all and that there are no hidden costs or fees. You will then be
asked in YOUR OWN VOICE, to repeat your credit card information so that
we may have your permission to utilize the card, and to agree that you
understand what you are purchasing and that you are receiving all as
told and promised. This will be your audio receipt. It is stored with an
outside agency, (CONTRACT GENIE CORP. ) and We are obliged to the State
of Florida as well as our international offices to comply with all laws
and regulations. We are also obliged by our merchant accounts to be
sure that we are doing what we say. So all in all, you are 100%
protected and covered in every way. Relax, enjoy your fantastic
vacation.
Just note to those that think that they have read something bad on the internet about Travel1.
The internet is the biggest
scam in existence. The mere existence of the internet and sites such as
the ones that let any person trash any companies reputation or phone number In
fact most of these internet phone sites are set up to extort money from
legit businesses to clean up there reputation that was not ever bad to
start. (Look up 800 notes scam)
We take very good care of our
customers and give them everything that they are promised. We do not post our address
or contact info on the internet because it is misused by all of the
scammers that trash legitimate companies like ours. If you bought a
product from our company you were given multiple contact numbers as well
as emailed receipts and documentation with our address and phone
numbers.
People that continually post negative information on a
phone number usually have never even purchased the product that they are
complaining about. The company that owns Travel1 is a licensed
travel agency that has been in business for over 15 years. Travel1 has traveled tens of thousand of happy customers. We do not
appreciate persons posting inappropriate comments about a company that
they do not know anything about.
We read
the internet too and there is a lot of erroneous information posted
which is not fair to companies trying to do the right thing.
Persons need to get their
facts straight. Over the years we realize that most persons that do
post such crap on the internet are usually unhappy persons that want the
rest of the world to be unhappy with them.
Let me be the first
to tell you how to spot a travel scam. If you are ever approached by a
company that requests a check over the phone or a money order I would
steer clear reason being is that the particular company cannot qualify
for a merchants account to process credit cards. Call your local bank and ask for a merchants account it is just like getting a mortgage.
NOTE TO THOSE TAKING A
CRUISE:
Please be advised that effective February 18, 2008 the Department of
Homeland Security has issued new regulations which result in all passengers
MUST be on board a minimum of 1.5 hours prior to departure, i.e. by 3:30
P.M. for a 5:00 PM departure.
Cruise ships departing from U.S. ports will be required by the U.S. Customs
and Border Protection to provide the full passenger including all personal
information and crew manifest to the U.S. government 1 hour prior to
departure starting Feb. 18, 2008. This means that all cruise guests will
need to be on board at least one and one/half hours prior to the ship's
scheduled departure.
Based on the new requirements, the cruise lines will require that all
passengers, for a 5:00 departure, must be onboard by 3:30 P.M. The doors of
the terminal will be closed by 3:30 PM and NO passengers will be permitted
in the terminal after that time. Passengers arriving after the required time
will not be permitted to board nor will they be eligible for a refund.
As the requirement does require that we send all the passenger information,
it is mandatory that you supply to us at the time of booking the
reservation, in addition to all passengers names in your party, their home
addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, nationalities and passport
information including expiration dates and places of issue.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THOSE TAKING A CRUISE:
Passengers be aware of the following regulation going into effect on
December 31, 2007.
All Passengers (Including US Citizens) sailing with us will be required to
have a valid passport. You will not be permitted to board the vessel without
one. This is a change from prior travel requirements and will affect all
United States citizens entering the United States from countries within the
Western Hemisphere who do not currently possess valid passports. This new
requirement will also affect certain foreign nationals who currently are not
required to present a passport to travel to the United States. Most Canadian
citizens, citizens of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda, and to a
lesser degree, Mexican citizens will be affected by the implementation of
this requirement.
If passengers want further information they can visit the State Departments
website at
www.travel.state.gov or call 1-877-487-2778
Beginning next year, the United States Department of State will be requiring
passports for more and more types of travel. All cruise lines will be fully
compliant with the new regulations and in keeping with our interest in
providing the best service possible, please obtain a passport. Doing it now
will alleviate the last-minute rush and expense of obtaining necessary
documentation closer to travel.
